Terms of Service

Effective: May 21, 2026

1. Acceptance

By subscribing to any Helix-API service via RapidAPI, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The service

Helix-API provides programmatic access to 20 production APIs across AI Infrastructure, Scraping & Data, Automation, and Developer Tools. Access is mediated through RapidAPI, which handles authentication, billing, and rate limiting.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Helix-API to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk communications
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or republish our APIs as your own product
  • Circumvent rate limits or attempt unauthorized access
  • Build applications that surveil, harass, or harm individuals
  • Generate or distribute illegal content (CSAM, non-consensual imagery, etc.)
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts service for other users

We reserve the right to suspend accounts engaging in prohibited activity, with or without notice.

4. Plans and billing

All billing is handled by RapidAPI. Plan tiers (Basic, Pro, Ultra, Mega) and their quotas are described on the Pricing page. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time through your RapidAPI dashboard.

Overage policy: requests beyond your plan's monthly quota are rejected with HTTP 429 until the next billing cycle, or are billed at the per-request overage rate disclosed on RapidAPI.

5. Service Level Agreement

Pro and higher plans include a 99.9% monthly uptime SLA. If we fall below the SLA, you're entitled to service credits equal to:

  • 10% credit for uptime between 99.0% and 99.9%
  • 25% credit for uptime between 95.0% and 99.0%
  • 50% credit for uptime below 95.0%

Credits are applied to your next month's invoice automatically. Excluded from SLA calculations: scheduled maintenance (announced 24h in advance), force majeure, and upstream provider outages beyond our control.

6. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the data you send and receive. We retain ownership of the API itself, the documentation, and the website. The OpenAPI specifications are available under a permissive license to facilitate SDK generation.

7. Disclaimers

Helix-API is provided "as is". While we take reasonable care, we cannot guarantee that responses from scraping-based APIs (e.g. Google SERP, Amazon Products) will always be accurate, complete, or current. Always validate critical data against authoritative sources.

Several APIs proxy or aggregate data from third-party services. The third parties' own terms may additionally apply.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability under these Terms is capped at the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months, or $100 (whichever is greater). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. DMCA

If you believe content returned by an API infringes your copyright, send a notice to dmca@helix-api.com with: identification of the work, the specific API endpoint and query, your contact information, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you're authorized to act.

10. Termination

You can terminate at any time by canceling your RapidAPI subscription. We can terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, access is revoked immediately and metadata is deleted within 30 days.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of London.

12. Changes

Material changes will be announced 30 days in advance via email and the changelog. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
